FURWARE is a group of people creating and distributing diverse products in Second Life. While each creator makes her or his own distinct creations and might specialize on a certain field, we share a common infrastructure (customer and delivery database, vendors, shop...). This makes the process of distributing and maintaining products easier and more efficient for each member while being able to customize the system depending on our needs.
Please read the documentation of the products carefully before contacting us. If any questions should remain unanswered by the manuals, we will of course be glad to help you personally. You can contact the respective product's creator via in-world IM.
On October 11th, 2009, we introduced "FURWARE ServiceAPI" which allows the creators to integrate update functionality directly into their products. Particularly, this means that whether a product is updateable or not is within the respective product creator's discretion. The same is true for the method to update the product (e.g. attaching it, rezzing the original product box, ...). Please check the product documentation.
The old updater box in the shop and wearable updaters delivered with previous product versions will still be supported for some time for customers to update to a version featuring the integrated updater. However, these machines will not allow updating products you purchased or updated after the aforementioned date.
We've decided to keep the updater box in our shop active. This means that, as an alternative to the integrated updaters in current product versions, you can also fetch new product versions in our shop.
FURWARE does not take any responsibility for damage caused by the possession or usage of the products created by us. We expressly distance ourselves from any consequences caused by improper usage of our products. The buyer/owner/user of the product is responsible for using it in an appropriate and thoughtful way.
FURWARE keeps track of customers, purchases and updates. This information is used solely to offer our customers responsive and uncomplicated service and protecting our system (and thus also the data of our customers) from abuse.
FURWARE does not guarantee any services beyond the successful purchase of a product (e.g. updates, redeliveries, refunds, ...).
In particular, we will not take back or refund money for copyable products with no cogent reason given. Although we will try our best to keep our products up-to-date and interoperable, we do not actively support any versions of the Second Life viewer or server other than the officially released main-grid versions that were current at the respective time of purchase.
